For the modern drummer, sticks are matched for weight, balance and pitch and and sorted among 36 bins. An inkjet printer labels each stick with the test results. Sticks are sold in matched sets.

The carrige runs back and forth along a 12' rail, delivering each stick to one of 36 bins. System processes 20 sticks per minute.
